Shot 94: HALF-MEASURES

— To follow is a bullet of wisdom on leadership.  It comes from Tom’s rifle, named Shot, who has seen it all.  You’ll get the drift by clicking Blog in the menu above.

HALF-MEASURES ARE VAIN!  This was an axiom of Winston Churchill.  Rudy seemed to live by that axiom too.  Come to think of it, I never have seen a true leader without this philosophy.  But I have seen overly analytical hunters never get a shot off.  And I have seen elaborate plans that never amounted to a hill of beans.  I’ve learned to go with true leaders.  They decide and then act decisively.
Hey leader, I have some questions for you:  Which is better tenacity or tenuousness?  What good is expertise without execution?  Is hope a strategy?  Have you observed paralysis by analysis?  Does determination ever make a weak plan look strong?  Is he who looks back fit for the plow?  Likely you agree with Sir Winston:  Half-measures are vain.
