YEP.  KINDNESS COUNTS.  Rudy showed that to me.  He treated others well.   He made them feel good about themselves.  Occasionally, he was taken advantage of, but usually he gained a friend and someone who would stick with him.

You have likely heard the expression “killing with kindness.”  It’s quite true that insincere, schmoozy, ingratiating behavior leaves others suspect.  But people gravitate to genuine kindness.  There, they are stimulated to be kind…to each other and to customers.  And it comes back—kindness reciprocity.  It’s a good thing.  Consider malice or anger.  Who wants that reflected back?  Or, even neutrality?  How dehumanizing.  No, go with kindness and reap the reward.
