     A SOLDIER WHO IS RESPONSIBLE for carrying the distinctive flag of a fighting force is called a standard bearer.   That’s what the force stands for, and it’s provides motivation, purpose, and drive.
     What standard do you want your “soldiers” to bear?  Some organizations are known for quality, others friendliness, others service, others timeliness.  (I could go on, of course.)  Employees can carry these themes, if they see, feel, and value them.  So, leaders, what can you legitimately build as themes?  What fits you, your organization and will give meaning to your soldiers’ fight?
