HOLD ON. WAIT UP. What did I last say about power—last week. It was true, but don’t confuse reservation of power for hesitancy in making decisions. I have experienced a leader’s hesitancy time and again. In my silent way, I have screamed, “Pull the trigger, why don’t you?”
Leaders, decisions must be made. Too often collaboration and compromise without leadership will not yield a course of action. And these functions, for all their merit, stubbornly resist change. Pivotal decisions especially require leadership. Go for it.
