I WANTED TO BE A BIGGER RIFLE with more range and power. I guess what I really wanted was to expand my influence. What could I do? Aaah, I went after the three A’s: Be Accurate—shoot straight and make every shot count. Be Available—be in the right place at the right time. Be Accountable—own up to what I did or did not do.
Some say leadership is influence. Hard to argue with that. How about Shot’s Triple A plan for influence? Oh, no doubt there are other things that factor into influence, but you’ll have a really hard time implementing them without being Accurate, Available, and Accountable. Take it from a rifle who learned to get it right, be present, and take responsibility.
