Shot 48: FORGIVEN

Shot 48: FORGIVEN

— To follow is a bullet of wisdom on leadership.  It comes from Tom’s rifle, named Shot, who has seen it all.  You’ll get the drift by clicking Blog in the menu above.

I DIDN’T DO IT, but I was forgiven.  Actually, it was my shotgun buddy who shot Tommy.  He didn’t mean to, but when butt hits concrete, discharge is likely—an accident.  We were blamed even though we are merely tools.  Tommy never faulted us though.  Years later, I enjoyed several afternoons of shooting with him.  Though once burdened by guilt—because I was present when it all went down—I was freed and could relax in just being me.

Oh, to be forgiven! Maybe we have done wrong or we have been wrongly accused, in either case, forgiveness sets us free.  You see, we relax knowing nothing is held against us.  Who among us does not want to be forgiven, to have a clean slate, to enjoy a fresh start?  Hey leaders, maybe you have this desire.  I hope it’s fulfilled.  Maybe you would lead out and grant forgiveness to someone and provide release.  If so, you’ll both have joy.
