Shot 24: BAD THINGS HAPPEN

— To follow is a bullet of wisdom on leadership.  It comes from Tom’s rifle, named Shot, who has seen it all.  You’ll get the drift by clicking Blog in the menu above.

I DIDN’T DO IT!  My shotgun companion did.  He shot Rudy’s son—accidentally, of course.  Still, I was there and witnessed a mangled arm and a life requiring reconstruction.  That boy moved on…from basketball to scholarship, and he became a college instructor, a professional trainer, and the leadership coach that you know.

So, leaders, do you let bad things define you?  You see where I’m going don’t you?  For sure, bad things happen, but your response defines you.  You might lose the capital for an investment, or have your competitive edge compromised, or vital employees abandon ship.  All bad things.  However, you have strengths, creative promise, and absolutely you have ample attitude to stay positively stay afloat and even row against the current.  You are the leader.  You are the difference maker.  You!
