Shot 137: BRINGING HOME THE BACON

— To follow is a bullet of wisdom on leadership.  It comes from Tom’s rifle, named Shot, who has seen it all.  You’ll get the drift by clicking Blog in the menu above.

BRING HOME THE “BACON,” or not.  Get her done, or not.  Win or lose.  Somethings aren’t relative.  Second place is not winning. Almost, doesn’t cut it.  Ole Sam helped around the farm.  Smart guy he was.  His motto: “There are only two can’t’s:  If you can’t cut it; you can’t stay!”
Alright, you leaders, the game is up.  The fact is you are measured by results.  Effort is hardly material.  No, the measure of your success is the team’s results.  If the team fails, you fail.  You are the leader.  You provide the vision, you determine the team composition, you guide collaboration, culture, processes, customer acquisition, standards of performance, and more.  By all means, function as a good leader, and use all your skills to martial success.  But no quit and no excuses!  Ole Sam’s motto stings…and it sings.
