Shot 71: DO OVERS

HEY, I WANT A “DO OVER.” With us rifles, do overs aren’t always possible. Once fired, that bullet will go where it was pointed. But then one can practice and become a better marksman, or one can become a better hunter, a more disciplined peacemaker, and so on. So, do overs are sometimes possible. But what makes for a good “do over”?

Just quitting and staring again, won’t cut it. You will likely again do and get what you have always done and gotten. Now, if you start over having processed some feedback or otherwise learned something, you have a basis for a better outcome. You can learn from successes and from mistakes. You can learn from others’ successes and mistakes. The question is, did you learn? If so, venture a “do over.”
