— To follow is a bullet of wisdom on leadership. It comes from Tom’s rifle, named Shot, who has seen it all. You’ll get the drift by clicking Blog in the menu above.
“YOUR THINK AIN’T LIKE MY THINK.” So said one of Tommy’s little brothers. He was right, of course. We don’t all think alike. But, if we all thought well, we might just do well. You see, I’ve noticed that those who think bad things tend to do bad things. And it’s the other way around too.
Okay, leaders, let’s do some thinking about thinking. And let’s start with a quote from the bible: “As a man thinks in his heart, so he is.” A lot of truth there. Do you let your thoughts wander? For some purposes that is good, such as being creative, conjuring a vision that will propel you and others, expanding your perspective. But some thoughts will drag you down, such as thoughts of worry, connivance, cutting corners, and self-pity. Yes, both the good and negative lists could go on. It’s your focus that matters. Control your thoughts. Channel them to be good and productive. You will become them.
