–Below is a leadership bullet from Tom’s rifle named Shot–
WHAT’S THAT? What’s a tactical weapon? How’s a farm rifle supposed to know? Well, I do know tact: discretion. I also know that tactical weapons differ from strategic ones. The former are more discretionary, more precise.
Leaders need tactics. Call them weapons. They are deliberate and focused maneuvers to execute a plan. A broad strategy is good. Leaders need one for each project, but they need to have approaches that respond to the events faced—call it the battlefield. These tactics allow a team to fulfill the broad plan. Leaders, determine a strategy AND prepare tactics to reach your objective effectively and efficiently.
