I HAVE HAD MARKSMEN praise me, and I have had others curse me. And, sadly, I have had the same person one time curse me and another time praise me. What’s a rifle to do? Frankly, I don’t think I deserved either.
Here’s is something you already know: It’s tough being a leader. You can at times receive accolades and at other times suffer abuse. Oh, the joys! You need perspective. One does not lead well with one’s head in the sand, nor in the clouds. Sure, take in feedback, but don’t lose your perspective. As a leader you see things others can’t.
