I HATE HASTE! That’s when us rifles are commanded to do bad things, regrettable things. I like urgency. That when something requires full attention, unwavering resolve, focused commitment. Gets a rifle excited.
Something about urgency leads to focus. It’s like necessity—the mother of invention. If it were not for urgency, many important things would not get attention and wouldn’t get done. Are you with me? Okay, then you are ready to ask, how can I create urgency for important things? Good leaders do this well. They champion important things. They have others spring-loaded on them. They commission apostles to their cause—radical, driven apostles. They commandeer systems to focus the organization on the “one thing.” You getting the drift? (They act like it is urgent!)
