–Below is a leadership bullet from Tom’s rifle named Shot–
CAN ANYTHING BE MORE DEAD? No. But somethings can be more deadly. Say, I, as a .22, shoot a deer in the chest. That’s a deadly act. Now, say, my big buddy, a .3006, a WW I weapon, shoots a deer in the chest. That’s deadlier!
Some dreadful acts are deadly, and, as known to leaders who have been around a while, some acts are deadlier. Consider this: team members clamming up, which is not helpful; but slanting information or opinions, could be far worse. How about not managing conflict, which is harmful, versus creating conflict, which is injurious. Try one more example: proceeding in spite of risks, in contrast to not assessing risks to begin with. Yikes! There is bad, and there is very bad. Eschew the deadlier while avoiding both.
