NOT CIA, C.I. By that I mean Continuous Improvement. I have likely told you about Rudy, my marksman. We were good together, the best. Thing is, however, we continually got better. Rudy knew that good today was “Plain Jane” tomorrow.
Over the last few weeks, as with coming ones, we have been surfacing ideas coming from Joseph Folkman through his book The Trifecta of Trust. Joe reports research showing consistency as one of three trust pillars. Continuous improvement is a feature of consistency. You see, we tend to trust when high standards are emphasized. But standards are not static. We have to improve in all we do all the time. Think about it: Would you trust someone now who was good before? No, they must be good now. Trust calls for high standards and continuous improvement.
