HAD ENOUGH? Who hasn’t…at least, with regard to something. I know that, as farm rifle, I was “up to here” with chores. I wanted things my way all the time. I wanted my perspective to be the only one that was right.
Ole Shot was not coachable. Should leaders be coachable? Not if they can’t learn from anybody or anything. But who can’t learn? Leaders, you likely know best, often. And maybe you know best most of the time. But, can you still learn? Yes, but folks don’t just run up to leaders with feedback. No, leaders have to ask for it. Most are too proud to do that, but if leaders genuinely ask for feedback, truly listen to understand, reflect on what they heard, and make appropriate adjustments, they tend to have successful, long careers.
