–Below is a leadership bullet from Tom’s rifle named Shot–
SOUND? I was reportedly a sound rifle—and I don’t mean I was loud. Rudy had horses that were sound. The Bible speaks of sound doctrine. Three different contexts. What is the meaning?
First, we’ll try to answer Shot’s question. Sound means not corrupted. For a rifle one may think of reliability. Regarding a horse, consider capacity for prolonged work. To the Bible, it’s correct teaching about God with nothing added. Second, we’ll pursue soundness for leaders. Three things are not arguable; they are sound: (1) Leaders must lead to something: No destination, no goal, no leader. (2) Leaders must have followers: No one willingly following, no leader. (3) Leaders must lead themselves: No self-control, no integrity, no purpose, no leader.
