–Below is a leadership bullet from Tom’s rifle named Shot–
READ’N, WRIT’N, AND ‘RITHEMETIC. That’s what we R’s say—we rifles, that is. It’s the basics.
So, what are the three R’s of leadership? Some say Resourceful, Responsible, and Respectful. Resourceful gets at being creative and dealing with facts; key skills are identifying and analyzing alternatives. Responsible leaders (surprise) lead people and manage processes; key skills here are nurturing, listening, challenging, and taking accountability. To be Respectful is to understand broad issues while addressing narrow ones; abilities include understanding external influences, and collaborating. Master these three R’s and you’ll be effective as a leader.
