Shot 366: CHICKEN OR EGG

Shot 366: CHICKEN OR EGG

–Below is a leadership bullet from Tom’s rifle named Shot–
WHICH CAME FIRST?  Mother’s chickens were always targeted by varmints.  I shot them—the varmints, that is.  And, by the way, I know which came first.  I have the same worldview as did Rudy, my marksman.  So, according to that, chickens were created; eggs came from them.
Leaders, which comes first: character or culture?  There is more than one answer, but make no mistake:  Leader behavior marks the way, and behavior reflects character.  Leaders are not benign.  No, they have influence.  They set the standard.  Some examples:  If a leader is honest, the organization stresses forthrightness; but, if the leader is dishonest, expect the organization to be slippery.   If the leader is meticulous, the organization tends to be tidy, but if the leader is sloppy, shoddiness is on the loose.  You see:  Culture seldom counters character, but character typically leads culture.
