–Below is a leadership bullet from Tom’s rifle named Shot–
I AM WORTHLESS. As said before, I am an old farm rifle. Broken in two, I was tossed in a pile of rubble in the shop. Though only a single-shot, I have been in many situations. And, get this, I don’t want to be forgotten. Who does?
Leaders don’t want to be forgotten. Joe Folkman, through research, has identified ten behaviors that make a leader memorable…in a good way. Here are six: Engender continuous improvement (a culture); inspire (and energize) others; take initiative (on challenging assignments); provide clear direction and purpose (continually); (always) be the example; and use cooperation (to get results). Do these, and you will be remembered (revered).
