I’VE PLAYED THAT GAME. It was on a winter’s hunt (a hike would be more like it) and things got boring. So, my marksman walked in the tracks of the other hunter (hiker). Indeed, with the snow covering the ground, it was easy to follow the tracks.
Leaders it’s not a game. “Follow the leader” is real. What you do, followers will do. You are the example. Except the followers may do what you do to excess, especially the bad stuff. Show up late; they’ll arrive later. Fudge on an expense report; they’ll violate expense rules entirely. Treat another offhandedly; they’ll be rude. After all, they are following the leader; it must be fine. No, you have to be vigilant; you’re always leading, always modeling. They follow.
