BOOM vs. BANG. One is more powerful. My single shot was more like a pop than a boom, unfortunately. Oh well, power was not my thing. Besides I have heard it said that, “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
That was said by John Dalberg-Action (Lord Action, English historian), and he was not speaking about rifles. Power for leaders is on another plane. They can let power go to their heads, and that is not good. Power, for leaders, needs to be tamped down, controlled. Use it for the benefit of those who have little of it. Confidently encourage others to lead out in their areas of responsibility, so the whole organization can flourish. Promote trustful behavior. Set good examples. Use power to build up others not yourself.
