Shot 322: THRIVING BEHAVIOR

–Below is a leadership bullet from Tom’s rifle named Shot

AAH, TO THRIVE!  Times were often tough on the farm.  But there were good years too.  I liked them.  Everything thrived—crops, livestock, wildlife, vegetation.  It was a good time for hunting.  It was a good time to be a rifle.  Actually, it was a good time for everything.
Leaders with solid thriving behaviors generate good times for them and others.  No one likes to work for a crouch, and no one likes to work for a leader who does not “have it together.”  On the other hand, people like to work for leaders who are “on top of it.”  These leaders take care of themselves.  They don’t run themselves down, they engage in worthwhile work, and they take care of themselves with good nutrition, physical activity, and rest.  They set boundaries so they are not burdened.  Perhaps, as a result of all this, they also can immerse themselves in their work and deeply concentrate on what it takes to lead others.  They make sure that they thrive so that everyone and everything around them may do the same.
