THE SMELL OF A HOT BREAKFAST! Aahh. Nothing gets hunters out of a tent like the aroma of breakfast. Dark and early is the morning, but comforting and nourishing is the breakfast. It’s my favorite meal.
Some leaders know from first-hand experience that feedback is the breakfast of champions. Others don’t know how to go about getting and using feedback. J. Folkman, a guru on feedback, offers these tips: Confront your biases about feedback; solicit feedback from others; assure your team that feedback will be respected; listen with clarifying questions, not defensiveness; and act on the feedback you have received.
