A VICTIM IS NOT SOMETHING we rifles like to talk about. The very word, victim, tells why. Something or someone got hurt when doing nothing deserving harm. Bad people use rifles to produce victims. I hate it.
Leaders may be victims and/or feel like victims. It is helpful to attend to feelings, but one eventually has to move on. Then it’s problem solving time. Start with why did the perpetrating incident happen? It just might be that you can learn from the experience. But it happened, in the past. The future must become your focus. What do you need (truly) to move on? What are your resources? What are options are available? What actions can you take?
